A DN80 LUG butterfly valve is a type of industrial valve that is designed to control the flow of fluids, gases, or other materials through a pipeline. The term "DN80" refers to the valve's nominal diameter, which is 80 millimeters (3.15 inches).
The "LUG" designation refers to the way the valve is mounted. LUG butterfly valves have threaded inserts on the valve body that allow them to be bolted to a pipeline without the need for flanges. This makes them easier to install and remove than other types of butterfly valves.

Features:
1. Small in size and light in weight, easy to install. It can be mounted wherever needed, suitable for various actuators.
Lug type of butterfly valve can be used at the end of the pipeline.
The lug-type butterfly valve has threaded metal inserts (usually stainless steel) installed in the valve's bolt holes.
The inserts are threaded on both ends, which allows this lug-style valve to be installed into a system using two sets of bolts and no nuts for each hole.
The valve is installed between two flanges using a separate set of bolts for each side of the flange.
This setup permits either side of the piping system to be disconnected without disturbing the other side.
When used at the end of the pipeline service, it has a reduced pressure rating. E.g, it rates 150 PSI when mounted between two flanges, while it rates just 75 PSI when mounted at the end of the pipeline service.
